Team A (consisting of members Kang Seung Yoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo and Nam Tae Hyun) won high praises for surpassing the judges’ expectation in the first battle of ‘WIN,’ YG Entertainment’s real survival program to determine the formation of the next boy group.
Team A, on ‘WIN’ aired on Sept 27, remade BIGBANG’s song ‘Only Look At Me’ for the first battle. After seeing the performance, Yang Hyun Suk, the founder of the agency, commented, “You did better than we expected. I told Lee Seung Hoon to work on his pronunciation and he did. Song Min Ho was full of confidence.”
DARA, a fellow artist from the same agency said, “Your acting was also great, but it would have been better if you had made some eye contacts with us.” Then SEUNGRI added, “Kim Jin Woo is now much better than expressing himself. Lee Seung Hoon seemed to have regained his confidence.”
DAESUNG continued, “It was like a great opening of a new shop. There was no depth to the performance. It felt like you just moved along the rhythm,” while T.O.P said, “Min Ho, the leader, should have shown us dominating the stage, but he had so many things he wanted to show that he could not focus on something important.”
‘WIN’ is a program that divides YG’s 11 trainees into Teams A and B for a fierce battle. There will be 3 battles in total throughout the 10 episodes. The winning team makes a debut to become the first boy group of YG in 8 years under the group name WINNER.
